THIS SIDEBOARD NOW LOOKS IDENTICAL TO OUR ITEM #0009, PHOTOS TO FOLLOW SOON) Original vintage L.&J.G. Stickley sideboard/buffet. Beautiful original reddish nut-brown finish with minor touch-up to surface of top. Original "ooze leather" in the drawer and two hammered copper strap hinges on each door with original patina. We purchased this piece from the home of a descendent of the original purchaser as one of several dining pieces including the uncommon 42" dining table, server & 6 chairs. All of the pieces were in excellent condition and well cared for over the years. At some time, the original mirrored back was removed from the sideboard. We found the rectangular mirror hanging in the home without the exterior frame that attaches to the sideboard. We added a backsplash to the top for trim using old growth quarter-sawn white oak. The sideboard is in otherwise excellent condition with no looseness. Signed inside the door with the firms brand: "The work of L.&J.G. Stickley". Circa 1912.
